Caregiving 101

The Caregiverscounsel podcast is hosted by Dr Mariaan Cronje, a Caregiving Counsellor who specialises in educating other family caregivers on how to stay emotionally and spiritually well before, during and after caregiving by focussing and embracing their experiences. As a caregiver to parents herself for the past 9 years, she knows about the challenges on all levels and knows the effect of losing them through death, has on yourself as well as other family members.

Doctor Mariaan Cronje is a Certified Life Coach, Counsellor and Pastor and has a passion for educating. She is the Founder of CareNet Inc, an Academy that trains Rest and Respite Caregivers to assist Family Caregivers, through E-Courses, Workshops and Mastermind Sessions and is a member of the National Association of Christian Counsellors & Ministries, A Certified John Maxwell LeadershipTeam Member and The International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine Board.

This free “Mini-course” presented through a campaign with Radio KC107.7 the biggest radio station in the Greater Paarl Valley and has been broadcasting since 1996. The aim is to create awareness as a Caregiving Advocate as caregiving may become our next pandemic and due to lack of knowledge and support, many family caregivers suffer daily.

Navigating through the stages will give insight into the different stages of caregiving and offer tips and solutions to the most important issues you may experience and how to handle them. She also introduces you to resources and courses you can buy to further equip and empower you, not only on your caregiving journey but also in business as you become the CEO (Chief Everything Officer) of your own caregiving business.
